A hard shot by Kent Tingelholm from long distance, 10 minutes into the match, got Karl-Michael Olsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sebastian Stål took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Barck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Åberg scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Stål, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 27 minutes, Georg Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tollered IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georg Åberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per Lindblom hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sebastian Stål took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Barck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Björn Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Björn Sjögren scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Michael Olsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Åberg was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Ekeby IK defense, Georg Åberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Stål. The Ekeby IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Stål should have stopped the shot. In the 62ndth minute of the game Georg Åberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ekeby IK's Sebastian Stål was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 played minutes Ekeby IK got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Vikström. Sebastian Stål made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Jonny Barck sent off a good shot on target. Dan Källberg struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Karl-Michael Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ekeby IK. Sebastian Granström's late challenge caught a Ekeby IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Granström helped the player get up and apologised. Ekeby IK's Kent Tingelholm couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tollered IF. The supporters of Ekeby IK booed when Tollered IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonny Barck scored 1-3 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Stål, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jonny Barck came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tollered IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Barck couldn't finish the play. Björn Sjögren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tollered IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
