Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Per-Arne Jonasson got the match started through his kick off. In the 10th minute, Ingvar Qvarnström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börje Carlberg in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bo Bremming prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Vartofta's goalkeeper Hans Ahlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Svensson. Michel Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Vartofta's Per-Arne Jonasson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bo Bremming made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Börje Carlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bo Bremming tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Vartofta defense, Johannes Svensson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Ahlin. The Vartofta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Ahlin should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Johannes Svensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Söderström in the 37th minute of play forced Vartofta's goalkeeper Hans Ahlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Ulricehamn:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vartofta:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Söderström was the one to do the kick off. Börje Carlberg kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 54thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Ulricehamn's keeper Bo Bremming was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 56th minute, Vartofta's Per-Arne Jonasson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bo Bremming. Bo Bremming yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Börje Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Bremming having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Michel Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ulricehamn's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Söderström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Ahlin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Per-Arne Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Per-Arne Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes in the game, Per-Arne Jonasson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bo Bremming having to interfere. Börje Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Bremming having to interfere. Bo Bremming took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Arne Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes, Erland Örn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ulricehamn and the Vartofta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ulricehamn's Bo Bremming played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Jonasson in the 86th minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ulricehamn! 99 minutes into the game, Per-Arne Jonasson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bo Bremming. Per-Arne Jonasson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. The Ulricehamn fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vartofta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
