After a defensive mix-up in Tärnaby's zone, Pål Groth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas Häll came out of the goal and Pål Groth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Häll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pål Groth's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Christopher Nord received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Douglas Häll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Alexander Kruse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Pål Groth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Douglas Häll. Tärnaby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pål Groth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Kenneth Häger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Tärnaby getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gert Valrot hit a great ball. The supporters of Holsljunga booed when Tärnaby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes of play, Holsljunga's Pål Groth made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas Häll was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute of the match, Magne Västberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Viggo Joensson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magne Västberg to make the kick off. Aleksander Sandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Kenneth Häger came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Holsljunga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Häger couldn't finish the play. Holsljunga's Viggo Joensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Västberg in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Vallgren in the 64th minute of play forced Holsljunga's goalkeeper Viggo Joensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Vallgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Viggo Joensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Tärnaby's Magne Västberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viggo Joensson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 81st minute, Sven Björnberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Pål Groth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Douglas Häll was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Pål Groth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Douglas Häll made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Tärnaby's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Björnberg came free, but Douglas Häll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pål Groth in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Douglas Häll saved Tärnaby from getting behind. Holsljunga played a much better game than Tärnaby and deserved their victory. The Tärnaby players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
