Daniel Sundin started the match with the kick off. When Martin Tingberg fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holsbybrunn IF's protests and gave Martin Tingberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Holsbybrunn IF's Martin Tingberg got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Joacim Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Örjan Jespersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 5 minutes, Linus Norström made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Holsbybrunn IF's Örjan Jespersson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Holsbybrunn IF booed when Hasslarp IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Beckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Holsbybrunn IF's Wictor Larsfält tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rune Kinnman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 minutes, Gösta Beckman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hasslarp IK and the Holsbybrunn IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hasslarp IK's Gösta Beckman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Pär Melberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Örjan Jespersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hasslarp IK. After 38 played minutes Holsbybrunn IF got a freekick which was hit by Pär Melberg. Linus Norström got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Örjan Jespersson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Linus Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Örjan Jespersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joacim Söderström in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Örjan Jespersson saved Holsbybrunn IF from getting behind. Pär Melberg's late challenge caught a Hasslarp IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pär Melberg helped the player get up and apologised. Pär Melberg hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

63 minutes into the match, Holsbybrunn IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Söderström came free, but Örjan Jespersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linus Norström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Linus Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Örjan Jespersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Joacim Söderström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Örjan Jespersson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henrik Stenkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrik Stenkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jens-Ola Engström helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Holsbybrunn IF got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ola Engström. Aron Eliasson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rune Kinnman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hasslarp IK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
