An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Smed in the 19th minute of play forced Skellefteå's goalkeeper Ingemar Jansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Gustav Smed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fizkiz IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustav Smed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Jansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Skellefteå's zone, Gustav Smed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Jansson came out of the goal and Gustav Smed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingemar Jansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Christoffersson in the 32nd minute of play. Gustav Smed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Robin Christoffersson came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Fizkiz IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Christoffersson couldn't finish the play. Gustav Smed struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Ingemar Jansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fizkiz IF. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Christoffersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustav Smed could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ingemar Jansson made a huge save. Gustav Smed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Christoffersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingemar Jansson having to make a save. After 60 minutes of play, Skellefteå's Robin Målare made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ingemar Jansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 96 minutes into the match, Fizkiz IF's Robin Christoffersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingemar Jansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Fizkiz IF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Skellefteå throughout the match.
