Valter Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sixten Lundblad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liverpool FC's Niklas Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Molin in the 19th minute of play. If Göran Deckberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ture Magnusson during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes, Fredriksdal's Stefan Åkesson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niklas Jakobsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fredriksdal reached it. Sixten Lundblad made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Valter Löfgren sent off a good shot on target. If Håkan Molin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rickard Nordin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Göran Deckberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Jakobsson having to interfere. Göran Deckberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Niklas Jakobsson made a huge save. When Fredriksdal's Håkan Molin in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool FC's goalie prevented a goal. Rickard Nordin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Sixten Lundblad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool FC. After having played for 87 minutes, Håkan Molin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fredriksdal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Molin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sixten Lundblad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Löfgren in the 89th minute of the match. Valter Löfgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sixten Lundblad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valter Löfgren ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Rickard Nordin made a precise shot to the right of Sixten Lundblad. Fredriksdal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.
