An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Näfver in the 4th minute of play forced Gustavsfors BF's goalkeeper Wictor Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingmar Albom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wictor Blomberg having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Gustavsfors BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agne Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. Jarl Häll, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jörgen Nyqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Wikander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Eliasson having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Flink to maneuver through the defense. Ingmar Albom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Wictor Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Häll. Jörgen Nyqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Pål Näfver elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Karl-Johan Brask hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, Ingvar Wikander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Eliasson, 2-1. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gustavsfors BF's goalkeeper Wictor Blomberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johannes Eliasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ove Eriksson in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Wikander was the one to do the kick off. If Jörgen Nyqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute of the match Gustavsfors BF got a corner. Manchester United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arne Vennersten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gustavsfors BF's Arne Vennersten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johannes Eliasson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 58th minute, Ingvar Wikander made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Eliasson. Manchester United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Jörgen Nyqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Johannes Eliasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Mellin to maneuver through the defense. Pål Näfver struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Wictor Blomberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingmar Albom got free with Wictor Blomberg in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Ingmar Albom got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute of the match, Ingmar Albom got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wictor Blomberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 88th minute Manchester United were awarded a corner. Jarl Häll went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Pål Näfver to score against Wictor Blomberg in Gustavsfors BF's goal. 3-2 after 88 minutes. Pål Näfver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Wictor Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pål Näfver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavsfors BF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Manchester United for a fine match.
