Anton Hamberg was shown his second yellow card after 19 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Per-Olof Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Pihlwall having to interfere. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Norköping FC's goalkeeper Valdemar Pihlwall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven Ödmann hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Forza Bajen's attentive Bo-Erik Gernberg managed to snatch the ball when Gunnar Wennerqvist made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. When Per-Olof Ekström in the 31st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Valdemar Pihlwall kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Patric Ekberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tage Bruse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdemar Pihlwall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Forza Bajen's Allan Berglund got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Forza Bajen's Per-Olof Ekström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdemar Pihlwall. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Falk in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tage Bruse saved Forza Bajen from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Forza Bajen's zone, Patric Ekberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Bruse came out of the goal and Patric Ekberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per-Olof Ekström to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Per-Olof Ekström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patric Ekberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Tage Bruse made a huge save. Norköping FC's Valdemar Pihlwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Ekström in the 59th minute of play. Per-Olof Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Pihlwall having to interfere. The supporters of Forza Bajen booed when Norköping FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Wennerqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Norköping FC defense, Hans Sörman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar Pihlwall. The Norköping FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Pihlwall should have stopped the shot. When Ivar Låsberg fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norköping FC's protests and gave Ivar Låsberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Norköping FC's Ivar Låsberg got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 83 minutes, Axel Martinsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norköping FC and the Forza Bajen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Forza Bajen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
