In the 5th minute, Karl-Axel Bruse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Malmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Evert Aspengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evert Aspengren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Malmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Örgryte IS booed when Hunterz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Ekström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Kruse's late challenge caught a Hunterz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Kruse helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Kruse kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Örgryte IS's zone, Esbjörn Hellgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Eklund came out of the goal and Esbjörn Hellgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Örjan Linqvist scored 1-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harald Eklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl-Axel Bruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Aspengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Malmgren in the 44th minute of the match. Evert Aspengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Bruse in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Axel Bruse to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl-Axel Bruses short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Evert Aspengren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Örgryte IS's Harald Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Linqvist in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Axel Bruse in the 67th minute of play forced Hunterz's goalkeeper Evert Aspengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evert Aspengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Bruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Axel Bruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Aspengren made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when John Malmgren sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Örgryte IS's Evert Aspengren threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karl-Axel Bruse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lukas Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. John Malmgrens short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Evert Aspengren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, Örgryte IS's Evert Aspengren threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karl-Axel Bruse, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 91st minute of the match Örgryte IS got a corner. Hunterz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Öberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Evert Aspengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Axel Bruse in the 95th minute of play. Lukas Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. If Karl-Axel Bruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
