Verner Odeen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Bållström in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Edsvalla FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Boberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Röbäck booed when Edsvalla FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Röbäck's Ove Biörkquist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bengt Wallgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Håkan Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Odeen having to interfere. Röbäck's Marcus Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Axel Danielsson in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Gustaf Löfgren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Verner Odeen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcus Tolsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Axel Danielsson went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Bengt Wallgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Verner Odeen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Edgar Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Håkan Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Karl-Axel Danielsson made the kick off in the second half. Bengt Wallgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Odeen having to interfere. After 57 minutes, Tommy Nilsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edsvalla FK and the Röbäck players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Edsvalla FK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Tommy Nilsson hit a great ball. Vilhelm Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Karl-Axel Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Edsvalla FK booed when Röbäck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Grönlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Tolsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Boberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Karl-Axel Danielsson's late challenge caught a Röbäck's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Axel Danielsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Karl-Axel Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Verner Odeen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Samuelsson in the 90th minute of play forced Röbäck's goalkeeper Marcus Tolsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Robin Grönlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Röbäck's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Grönlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Verner Odeen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
