Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sven-Åke Gustafsson made the kick off which started today's match. If Kåre Grönlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Frykberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvar Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Askestät, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaj Sikström kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When Otto Frykberg came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ytterhogdal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Frykberg couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Christer Askestät shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linköping's Alvar Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Frykberg in the 21st minute of play. Christer Askestät might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvar Löv. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christer Askestät ran back to his position shaking his head. Christer Askestät received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alvar Löv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvar Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Frykberg in the 30th minute of the match. If Otto Frykberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christer Askestät fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Löv having to interfere. When Otto Frykberg came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ytterhogdal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto Frykberg couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ytterhogdal's Christer Askestät got a free kick in the 41st minute. Alvar Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Frykberg in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Ytterhogdal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Sven-Åke Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linköping's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikael Pil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Gustafsson in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Linköping's Kåre Grönlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mikael Pil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 63rd minute Christer Askestät shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ytterhogdal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköping the free kick. After 71 played minutes Ytterhogdal got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Granberg. In the 71st minute, Rudolf Brogren sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ytterhogdal's Mikael Pil didn't even have to move. Kåre Grönlund scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mikael Pil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olof Grep hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Otto Frykberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Alvar Löv made a huge save. Christer Askestät sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Sune Rolandsson had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Göransson during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kåre Grönlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ytterhogdal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Linköping.
