Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Stål ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jan-Olof Glanselius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fredrik Stål kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 9thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Hillerstorp's keeper Nils-Emil Lundin was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. If Sören Löfkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Vidar Trulsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Hillerstorp's Gösta Alebäck broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Karl-Magnus Hamnberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nykil's Ola Malmberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Edwin Skoglund fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nykil's protests and gave Edwin Skoglund a yellow card for diving instead. Edwin Skoglund kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Vidar Trulsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 21st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Karl-Magnus Hamnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Fredrik Stål got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Löfkvist in the 29th minute of play forced Nykil's goalkeeper Ola Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ove Uter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 42 minutes, Jens-Ove Uter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillerstorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ove Uter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nykil's Ola Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sören Löfkvist in the 43rd minute of play. Gösta Alebäck kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Ove Uter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Uter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ola Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Jan-Olof Glanselius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nykil and the Hillerstorp players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nykil getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jan-Olof Glanselius hit a great ball. Nils-Åke Söderlund charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils-Åke Söderlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hillerstorp booed when Nykil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Söderlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ola Malmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Uter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Emil Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Stål, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 79th minute of the match, Jens-Ove Uter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ola Malmberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Hillerstorp booed when Nykil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Arenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hillerstorp's Sören Löfkvist, in the 81st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hillerstorp. After 86 played minutes Hillerstorp got a freekick which was hit by Johan Nordgren. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hillerstorp players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nykil.
