In the 13thth minute of the game Karl-Michael Hellström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bergby FK's Ulf Flink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl-Michael Hellström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulf Flink having to make a save. When Peter Östlund fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergby FK's protests and gave Peter Östlund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Bergby FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Östlund to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute, David Vallmark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulf Flink was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Michael Hellström in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Flink saved Bergby FK from getting behind. Peter Östlund hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Matthias Brandin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Östlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Karl-Michael Hellström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl-Michael Hellström charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Michael Hellström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Blue Saints got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Michael Hellström. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Östen Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Saints's supporters rose to their feet, but Östen Blom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Flink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Östlund hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Ivar Fagrell fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergby FK's protests and gave Ivar Fagrell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Ivar Fagrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute, Karl-Michael Hellström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blue Saints fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niclas Sandberg to strike the kick off in the second half. If Bertil Linberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blue Saints's Karl-Michael Hellström got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Holmgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Flink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. If Karl-Michael Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Michael Hellström had several of the Bergby FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Ulf Flink as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 96 minutes, Karl-Michael Hellström made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Bergby FK's Ulf Flink tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Blue Saints left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bergby FK.
