In the 14thth minute of the game Jan Ambjörnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Falun's Leif Hake was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Falun's Rikard Lövgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rickard Biörkman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Gerdberg during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petter Persson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Rickard Biörkman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falun.
