Ulf Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bo-Erik Browald hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Nossebro BK's Andreas Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Sjöö in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Oskarshamns AIK were awarded a corner. Åke Hellkvist went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Oskarshamns AIK's Åke Hellkvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Andreas Kristiansson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Andreas Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Odman in the 12th minute of the match. Andreas Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Odman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Nossebro BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Odman came free, but Andreas Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, Ulf Odman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oskarshamns AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Andreas Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Sjöö, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Sten Hydén kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Åke Hellkvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Kristiansson skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Egon Söderström managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Nossebro BK's Rickard Åberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 39 minutes into the game, Sten Hydén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nossebro BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oskarshamns AIK the free kick. 38 minutes into the game, one of Nossebro BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Oskarshamns AIK got a freekick which was hit by Åke Hellkvist. Sten Hydén took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Egon Söderström. Oskarshamns AIK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ulf Odman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Kristiansson having to interfere. If Rickard Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Sjöö in the 65th minute of play forced Nossebro BK's goalkeeper Andreas Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evert Sjöö in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Kristiansson saved Nossebro BK from getting behind. Egon Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Häll, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Evert Sjöö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Odman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Andreas Kristiansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Kristiansson made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ulf Odman sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Odman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Åke Hellkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Malte Möllgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oskarshamns AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nossebro BK the free kick. Malte Möllgren kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Oskarshamns AIK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
