Conny Strömberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Eriksson having to interfere. Klas Holm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Edgar Lenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, TRABZONSPOR AS's Edgar Lenberg got control of the ball when Klas Holm tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Tomas Hansson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Edgar Lenberg to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 19 minutes, Conny Strömberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TRABZONSPOR AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conny Strömberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Eriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sverker Valström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Holm took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgar Eriksson. Sysslebäck IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Andréas Snell charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
