Gunnar Brenner made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Sixten Högman sent off a good shot on target. If Sixten Högman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Paul Skräddare was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Everöd IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gånghester the free kick. 23 minutes into the match, Gånghester's Dan Willig broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gånghester's Sixten Högman got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Everöd IK's Gunnar Brenner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Alströmmer in the 35th minute of play. Gunnar Brenner was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Wilhelm Alströmmer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wilhelm Alströmmer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, Everöd IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. Gunnar Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Alströmmer in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kristoffer Ivarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, David Kilstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Everöd IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Kilstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Everöd IK's Albert Runberg threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kristoffer Ivarsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Gånghester's Sixten Högman in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
