Eric Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Börge Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Söderqvist in the 11th minute of play forced Vellinge FK's goalkeeper Börge Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Börge Lilja managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Abisko's Eric Paulin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Vellinge FK's Niklas Sandell got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Vellinge FK's goalkeeper Börge Lilja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Paulin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Åke Kruse in the 19th minute of play forced Abisko's goalkeeper Hubert Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Söderqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Börge Lilja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulf Söderqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Mattias Melander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens-Åke Kruse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hubert Mager showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Melander, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37th play minutes Jens-Åke Kruse shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Hubert Mager and just under the crossbar into goal. Jens-Åke Kruse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Mager having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Mattias Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Mager was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. If Jens-Åke Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Jens-Åke Kruse made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Söderqvist in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börge Lilja saved Vellinge FK from getting behind. If Mattias Melander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Mager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Kruse in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Albert Bolin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abisko and the Vellinge FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vellinge FK booed when Abisko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Bolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Vellinge FK got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Hellström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Söderqvist in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börge Lilja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Georg Jansson fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vellinge FK's protests and gave Georg Jansson a yellow card for diving instead. Georg Jansson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Christoffer Snell, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jens-Åke Kruse might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Mager. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Åke Kruse ran back to his position shaking his head. Mattias Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vellinge FK booed when Abisko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Oskar Forss didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Åke Kruse in the 91st minute of play forced Abisko's goalkeeper Hubert Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Melander might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hubert Mager. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattias Melander ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Vellinge FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Abisko throughout the match.
