Gusum RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kyrkesund's Jimmie Hedling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Kyrkesund from getting a goal against them. Harald Lindholm hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Falk to strike the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jon Hansson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Axel Falk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Gusum RK's Stig-Arne Brun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmie Hedling narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Stig-Arne Brun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jimmie Hedling. Kyrkesund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Arne Brun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
