Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tord Offendahl started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Lyrestad RK's Edvin Samuelsson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After 7 minutes of play, Karlholmsbruk's Henning Runeberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Asserlind was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Henning Runeberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karlholmsbruk's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Runeberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Asserlind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Lyrestad RK's Leonardo Olsmann got a free kick in the 12th minute. Henning Runeberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Lyrestad RK's Tord Offendahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Åke Hedbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Edvin Samuelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nils-Åke Hedbom was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 26th minute Ralf Örtendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Asserlind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Karlholmsbruk's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Hedbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvin Samuelsson. 33 minutes into the match, Lyrestad RK's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Runeberg came free, but Kurt Asserlind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karlholmsbruk's Ralf Örtendal got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tord Offendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyrestad RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Offendahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Åke Hedbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henning Runeberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lyrestad RK's Herbert Felin got a free kick in the 50th minute. Kurt Asserlind stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henning Runeberg's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The Karlholmsbruk fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Karlholmsbruk's Ralf Örtendal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henning Runeberg didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 65th minute. Karlholmsbruk's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Ralf Örtendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Asserlind having to interfere. Ralf Örtendal in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kurt Asserlind, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 76thth minute of the game Ralf Örtendal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyrestad RK's Kurt Asserlind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Karlholmsbruk booed when Lyrestad RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Öman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henning Runeberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Asserlind having to interfere. A hard shot 93 in the game by Ralf Örtendal from a close distance when the talented Kurt Asserlind managed to make a qualified save. Lyrestad RK's players were relieved. Kurt Asserlind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henning Runeberg in the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lyrestad RK's zone, Ralf Örtendal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Asserlind came out of the goal and Ralf Örtendal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Karlholmsbruk left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lyrestad RK.
