Vaxholm IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ljung the free kick. After 30 played minutes Vaxholm IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ola Forsberg. Karl-Johan Mellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmund Bäckman fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaxholm IFK's protests and gave Edmund Bäckman a yellow card for diving instead. Birger Alstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Johan Mellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Johan Mellberg made a kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Colin couldn't finish the play. Håkan Ekman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Bengt-Arne Almstedt made a huge save. 82 minutes into the match, Pär Pålsson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vaxholm IFK's Birger Alstedt. Birger Alstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Birger Alstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Mellberg in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Andréas Rang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ljung fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a rather tough play, Vaxholm IFK's Alexander Colin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes of play, Ljung's Karl-Johan Mellberg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Birger Alstedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andréas Rang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Birger Alstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ljung had played much better football throughout.
