Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Linus Bruse got the match started through his kick off. Marc Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tommy Asmundsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Asmundsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Bruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mjällby AIF's Thomas Klementsson got control of the ball when Tor Strömberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Asmundsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Ödskölt IF's Tor Strömberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Klementsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thomas Klementsson came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ödskölt IF's Kenneth Åberg. But to his dismay, Kenneth Åberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Mjällby AIF's goalkeeper Thomas Klementsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tor Strömberg. Kenneth Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tor Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Öberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Asmundsson having to interfere. Linus Bruse struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Tommy Asmundsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mjällby AIF. Alvar Thedin hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Mjällby AIF's Marc Öberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Asmundsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tor Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Thomas Klementsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenneth Åberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomas Klementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 69th minute Kenneth Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Klementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Marc Öberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tommy Asmundsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Tor Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Klementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Mjällby AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Skog to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Klementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Tor Strömberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mjällby AIF's goalkeeper Thomas Klementsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mjällby AIF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
