Hortlax SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Blom in the 43rd minute of play forced Jokkmokk's goalkeeper Alexander Bergendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ingvar Hansson fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Ingvar Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jokkmokk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tony Dahlberg came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Jokkmokk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Dahlberg couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jokkmokk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
