Boda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Freddie Sandwall scored to the left of an out of position Elliott Vallgren, making the score, 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Sundén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Holger Sundberg. Horred IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Olof Sundén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 14th minute, Börge Axelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elliott Vallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Börge Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Boda's Elliott Vallgren got control of the ball when Börge Axelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boda's Elliott Vallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Boda from getting a goal against them. If Gottfrid Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo-Erik Brolin hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Freddie Sandwall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Boda's Erik Lundin got a free kick in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Freddie Sandwall made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Dan Löfgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boda and the Horred IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, Dan Löfgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börge Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Vallgren having to interfere. During the 55th minute of the match Dan Löfgren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dan Löfgren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dan Löfgren kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Erik Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bo-Erik Brolin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elliott Vallgren. Boda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Freddie Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Vallgren having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, Börge Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horred IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börge Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elliott Vallgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie Sandwall in the 76th minute of the match. Gottfrid Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Holger Sundberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horred IFK's Freddie Sandwall got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elliott Vallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Axelsson in the 86th minute of play. Freddie Sandwall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Elliott Vallgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horred IFK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
