Dan Kling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Hellström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lingbo IFK. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddie Stenman during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Freddie Stenman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 25 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Åkarp's Pontus Ahlin got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 29th match minute, Lingbo IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. Göran Palmkvist, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Niklas Snell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Börje Målare having to interfere. Tor Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a Lingbo IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tor Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Åkarp's Tor Abrahamsson got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Pontus Ahlin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Börje Målare saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Ahlin in the 46th minute of play forced Lingbo IFK's goalkeeper Börje Målare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lingbo IFK getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Kent Utter hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pontus Ahlin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Börje Målare. That made the score 1-0 in the 49 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Olsman to make the kick off. Bengt-Rune Bäck hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Linus Olsman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Billy Hellström made a huge save. In the 64th minute Niklas Snell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Snell in the 65th minute of play forced Lingbo IFK's goalkeeper Börje Målare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Niklas Snell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Lingbo IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Ahlin came free, but Börje Målare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Kent Utter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Åkarp's Niklas Snell in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lingbo IFK's goalie prevented a goal. Börje Målare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Ahlin in the 72nd minute of play. Linus Olsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Billy Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Lingbo IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Ahlin came free, but Börje Målare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tor Abrahamsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linus Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Hellström having to interfere. When Niklas Snell came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Åkarp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niklas Snell couldn't finish the play. Linus Olsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
