The audience thought a goal was coming when Inge Söderqvist got free with Vincent Igelström in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Thomas Fredriksson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Malmö FF's Vincent Igelström. Vincent Igelström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 23 minutes, Thomas Fredriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krylbo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Fredriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Torbjörn Wållander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Beck, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes in the game, Adrian Lundqvist fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vincent Igelström having to interfere. Adrian Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Vincent Igelström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernt Lidström hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Malmö FF's zone, Inge Söderqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Igelström came out of the goal and Inge Söderqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Adrian Lundqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krylbo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Lundqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vincent Igelström made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Inge Söderqvist sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Malmö FF's zone, Erling Asklöv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Igelström came out of the goal and Erling Asklöv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bengt Beck made the kick off in the second half. Malmö FF's Vincent Igelström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Söderqvist in the 54th minute of play. Inge Söderqvist scored 2-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Igelström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes Malmö FF got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Botvidsson. After having played for 64 minutes, Inge Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Krylbo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Söderqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Erling Asklöv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 minutes of play, Krylbo IF's Adrian Lundqvist made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vincent Igelström was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Krylbo IF's Torbjörn Wållander got control of the ball when Jens-Åke Ström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Erling Asklöv came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Krylbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erling Asklöv couldn't finish the play. Inge Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Vincent Igelström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Igelström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erling Asklöv's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 97th minute, Erling Asklöv left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Krylbo IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. There was no doubt that Krylbo IF were the better team. Krylbo IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
