The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edvard Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Nordström having to interfere. A collision led to Bankeryd IF getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tor Ahlkvist hit a great ball. If Nils Lidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Bankeryd IF's Jonny Haglund dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jonny Haglund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bankeryd IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonny Haglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörgen Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rudolf Andberg charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudolf Andberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rudolf Andberg kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Emil Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Berggren in the 34th minute of the match. If Jonny Haglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Roger Beckeman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nyhamnsläge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bankeryd IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nyhamnsläge's Roger Beckeman got a free kick in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Bankeryd IF's Tor Ahlkvist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jonny Haglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jörgen Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Jonny Haglund made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nyhamnsläge's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Haglund came free, but Jörgen Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Isak Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jonny Haglund came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Bankeryd IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Haglund couldn't finish the play. Nils Lidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Emil Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Björk hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Edvard Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Otto Telin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bankeryd IF and the Nyhamnsläge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes Bankeryd IF got a freekick which was hit by Otto Telin. 2-1 became the score in the 70th minute when Edvard Berggren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nils Lidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Nordström having to interfere. Edvard Berggren struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Emil Nordström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nyhamnsläge. Jonny Haglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Nyhamnsläge defense, Jonas Lövkvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jörgen Hellström. The Nyhamnsläge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jörgen Hellström should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Jonny Haglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Bankeryd IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
