Kim Skarkman charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kim Skarkman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kil IFK's Kim Skarkman got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Sten Giliusson fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kil IFK's protests and gave Sten Giliusson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Sten Giliusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Kil IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Thidén came free, but Ove Nordlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Sune Asmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Ammarnäs's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Asmundsson came free, but Mattias Dahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mattias Dahlquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Söderberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Nordlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Thidén in the 31st minute of the match. Sune Asmundsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mattias Dahlquist having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Ammarnäs's goalkeeper Mattias Dahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kim Skarkman. Birger Söderberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Leif Fagrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ammarnäs's zone, Birger Söderberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Dahlquist came out of the goal and Birger Söderberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute, Birger Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Sune Asmundsson made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Birger Söderberg in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mattias Dahlquist saved Ammarnäs from getting behind. Kil IFK's Birger Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birger Söderberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mattias Dahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Kil IFK's Sune Asmundsson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mattias Dahlquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filiph Finsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ove Nordlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sune Asmundsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Dahlquist was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Mattias Dahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Birger Söderberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mattias Dahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kil IFK's Sune Asmundsson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sune Asmundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ove Nordlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filiph Finsberg in the 95th minute. Kil IFK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
