The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vidar Bredberg during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vidar Bredberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Börje Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Emil Beckeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Oskar Lindell in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Emil Beckeman saved Vimmerby from getting behind. The supporters of Hermodsdals FF booed when Vimmerby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Bredberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Martinsson in the 17th minute of play forced Vimmerby's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Beckeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Börje Martinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Emil Beckeman having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Ingemar Jonsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vimmerby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Vimmerby's Ingemar Jonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reine Hedling kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Sigman in the 32nd minute of play forced Hermodsdals FF's goalkeeper Rasmus Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Börje Martinsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ingemar Jonsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vimmerby's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingemar Jonsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rasmus Nordin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Börje Martinsson to make the kick off. Ingemar Jonsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rasmus Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingemar Jonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rasmus Nordin having to interfere. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hermodsdals FF's goalkeeper Rasmus Nordin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Börje Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermodsdals FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Emil Beckeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Vimmerby's Magne Tunström got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Sigman in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rasmus Nordin saved Hermodsdals FF from getting behind. Kristoffer Viberg's late challenge caught a Vimmerby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristoffer Viberg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hermodsdals FF getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Kristoffer Viberg hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Hugo Sigman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rasmus Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Karl-Oskar Lindell came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Hermodsdals FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Oskar Lindell couldn't finish the play. Rasmus Nordin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Sigman went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Nils-Emil Beckeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Martinsson in the 85th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Hermodsdals FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Löfgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Pontus Hjeltman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Hugo Sigman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Oskar Lindell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Emil Beckeman having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hermodsdals FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vimmerby.
