The tension between the Laxå and the Åhus players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allan Lindgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Kjell Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingmar Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Knutsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Lägdin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingmar Wallander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Kjell Andersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åhus. Arman Ekeberg kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Åhus booed when Laxå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Ekeberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörgen Hellström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kjell Andersson. Laxå's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Allan Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åhus's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Lindgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Andersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Henry Lägdin put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ingmar Wallander. 45 minutes into the match, Allan Lindgren notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Laxå's Kjell Andersson. Kjell Andersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when David Knutsson made the kick off in the second half. Kjell Andersson made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Östensson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Lindgren in the 57th minute of play forced Laxå's goalkeeper Kjell Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Åhus got a corner. Laxå's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
