Marcus Tunberg was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Ulf Alström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ulf Alström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tord Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Berg in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalle Alegren saved Sörbygden IFK from getting behind. Tord Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Alegren having to interfere. Victor Granberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tord Berg scored 1-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kalle Alegren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tord Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Victor Granberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ulf Alström made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Hellsing in the 55th minute of play forced Östra Ryd IFK's goalkeeper Marcus Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Ulf Alström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sörbygden IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 59 played minutes Sörbygden IFK got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Hellsing. In the 61st minute, Tord Berg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matthias Hellsing kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 69th minute, when Östra Ryd IFK's Nils Engström after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Kalle Alegren in Sörbygden IFK's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Sörbygden IFK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Victor Granberg 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Kalle Alegren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Östra Ryd IFK's Marcus Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Alström in the 91st minute of play. Victor Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kalle Alegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Alström in the 97th minute of the match.
