A collision led to Bergvik IK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jan-Erik Ahlin hit a great ball. Börge Fridlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Kielstedt in the 9th minute. Mikael Kielstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Börge Fridlund made a huge save. Mikael Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bergvik IK's Börge Fridlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Bolander in the 15th minute of play. Bernt Hedvall's late challenge caught a Bergvik IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernt Hedvall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Sangis IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Hedvall to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bergvik IK's Victor Vallengren got a free kick in the 21st minute. Aleksander Broman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Åström in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bergvik IK's zone, Sören Alegren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börge Fridlund came out of the goal and Sören Alegren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd match minute, Bergvik IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Ahlin to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Sven-Åke Ambjörnsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bergvik IK's Börge Fridlund didn't even have to move. After 36 played minutes Bergvik IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Ahlin. Aleksander Broman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Vallengren in the 39th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Bergvik IK's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Bolander came free, but Börge Fridlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olof Bolander was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Vallengren got free with Aleksander Broman in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sven-Erik Källberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Sangis IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Alegren to maneuver through the defense. Victor Vallengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Broman having to interfere. Aleksander Broman was a little too slow when Victor Vallengren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-2. 95 minutes into the game, Victor Vallengren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Aleksander Broman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
