The referee ignored Mollösund's protests and gave Inge Tunberg a yellow card for diving instead. Inge Tunberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes, Holmsund FK's Niclas Wennerqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon Lidberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Holmsund FK reached it. In the 14th minute, Linus Olsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Pihlgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Lidberg having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Holmsund FK's Billy Pihlgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simon Lidberg. Simon Lidberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Pontus Sjö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Lidberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pontus Sjö in the 33rd minute. 46 minutes into the game, Oliver Benet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Greger Bergstedt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Pontus Sjö ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Lidberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Simon Lidberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Pihlgren's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When Pål Näver fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holmsund FK's protests and gave Pål Näver a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th minute, Pål Näver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Billy Pihlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Lidberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Karl-Magnus Boklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mollösund's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Magnus Boklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greger Bergstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Mollösund getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Boklund hit a great ball. Pontus Sjö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Simon Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Sjö in the 84th minute of play. Mollösund's Simon Lidberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Pihlgren in the 89th minute of play. Greger Bergstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Magnus Boklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Oliver Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Greger Bergstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Holmsund FK fully deserved thier win.
