Greger Bergstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Staffan Alebom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Greger Bergstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Staffan Alebom in the 9th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Billy Pihlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Siöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holmsund FK's goalkeeper Greger Bergstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Holmsund FK's Billy Pihlgren got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lars Brenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontus Sjö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Siöberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Klässbol's Nils-Erik Nordkvist got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Holmsund FK booed when Klässbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Wahlnäs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niclas Wennerqvist, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Billy Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontus Sjö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lars Brenner came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Klässbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Brenner couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the game, Holmsund FK's Billy Pihlgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mats Siöberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Holmsund FK's goal looked a bit too open when Staffan Alebom came free, but Greger Bergstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holmsund FK's Greger Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Brenner in the 55th minute of play. Pontus Sjö could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Mats Siöberg made a huge save. Greger Bergstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Erik Nordkvist in the 62nd minute of play. Staffan Alebom took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greger Bergstedt. Greger Bergstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Billy Pihlgren struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mats Siöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmsund FK. In the 73rd minute, Holmsund FK's Billy Pihlgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. A collision led to Holmsund FK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Andréas Pilberg hit a great ball. A collision led to Klässbol getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Anton Löfgren hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Pontus Sjö sped through Klässbol's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mats Siöberg. After a rather tough play, Klässbol's Ragnar Nordal got a free kick in the 99th minute.
