Grabbarna Grus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tärnsjö the free kick. With splendid footwork Bengt-Åke Gadd arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 15th minute. If Bengt-Åke Gadd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Vacker having to interfere. A hard shot 25 in the game by Bengt-Åke Gadd from a close distance when the talented Olov Vacker managed to make a qualified save. Tärnsjö's players were relieved. Sten Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Tärnsjö's Olov Vacker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Tärnsjö from getting a goal against them. Olov Vacker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Larsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Grabbarna Grus's Bengt Larsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Vacker narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Grabbarna Grus walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
