After 2 played minutes Motala Aif got a freekick which was hit by Christer Kjellkvist. Roland Sandström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Arne Lindkvist in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Kjellkvist in the 11th minute of play forced Mörarp's goalkeeper Roland Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mörarp getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jimmy Wallengren hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Motala Aif's Andreas Stålman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 22 minutes, Frans Skytt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mörarp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Skytt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot by Edwin Öberg from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Roland Sandström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 27 minutes, Jimmy Wallengren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mörarp and the Motala Aif players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Motala Aif booed when Mörarp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Wallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Mörarp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Wallengren to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christer Kjellkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Michael Galle struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Roland Sandström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motala Aif. Jimmy Collin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Skytt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rune Unesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Motala Aif's Jimmy Collin got control of the ball when Rune Unesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
