Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rikard Holmgren started the match with the kick off. Christer Ingvall was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Daniel Blomkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Blomkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Kolmården BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Ström to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Lennart Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Ingvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lennart Karlsson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredrik Forsberg saved Kolmården BK from getting behind. After 19 minutes, Kåre Malmström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kolmården BK and the Mariefred RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Karlsson in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredrik Forsberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lennart Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Forsberg having to interfere. If Lennart Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes of play, Mariefred RK's Lennart Karlsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fredrik Forsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lennart Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Holmgren in the 38th minute of play forced Kolmården BK's goalkeeper Fredrik Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Holmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Blomkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Rikard Holmgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariefred RK and the Kolmården BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lennart Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fredrik Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rikard Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lennart Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Mariefred RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lennart Karlsson couldn't finish the play. Kåre Malmström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Lennart Karlsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fredrik Forsberg, passed just outside the right post. 68 minutes into the game, Lennart Karlsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fredrik Forsberg. Lennart Karlsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 71st minute Rikard Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennart Karlssons short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Fredrik Forsberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Lennart Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kolmården BK's Arne Dahlberg got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Rikard Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a little luck, Kolmården BK's Fredrik Forsberg got control of the ball when Lennart Karlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 91 played minutes Mariefred RK got a freekick which was hit by Rikard Holmgren. Lennart Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fredrik Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
