Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Charles Benett kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Sivert Hellgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddie Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Walmarsson having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Ellös got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Låsberg. If Eddie Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eddie Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Walmarsson having to interfere. Jörn Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Hagström having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Matthias Låsberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Per Hagström. Matthias Låsberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Eddie Larsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Walmarsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Larsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After 30 played minutes, Borlänge's Per-Åke Godholm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dan Walmarsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borlänge reached it. 32 minutes into the match, Sivert Hellgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Walmarsson. Ellös's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sivert Hellgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Borlänge getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Edvin Ahlkvist hit a great ball. If Sivert Hellgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ellös defense, Eddie Larsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Walmarsson. The Ellös fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Walmarsson should have stopped the shot. After the first half Borlänge were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eddie Larsson made a kick off. Jörn Sjöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dan Walmarsson came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Borlänge's Sivert Hellgren. But to his dismay, Sivert Hellgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Sivert Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dan Walmarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Borlänge's Dan Walmarsson threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eddie Larsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eddie Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th play minute Sivert Hellgren came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dan Walmarsson. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Ellös's Bengt-Rune Nyström got a free kick in the 69th minute. A hard shot by Per-Åke Godholm from long distance, 70 minutes into the match, got Dan Walmarsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sivert Hellgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Dan Walmarsson made a huge save. Sivert Hellgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dan Walmarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eddie Larsson fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borlänge's protests and gave Eddie Larsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Borlänge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Larsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Eddie Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Walmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Mårten Brandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Walmarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Winström lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 96th minute of the match Borlänge got a corner. Ellös's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Per-Åke Godholm ran over to the corner to take the kick. Borlänge's Per-Åke Godholm was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dan Walmarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 97 minutes into the match, Ellös's goalkeeper Dan Walmarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sivert Hellgren. The Ellös fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Borlänge were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
