In the 5th minute, Arne Lennartsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Villiam Runeberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Arne Lennartsson took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Villiam Runeberg. Villiam Runeberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rickard Pedersson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Club Universidad de Chile defense, Arne Lennartsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Villiam Runeberg. The Club Universidad de Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Villiam Runeberg should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Åseda booed when Club Universidad de Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Colin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villiam Runeberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Broberg's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Villiam Runeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Broberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 39 minutes, Bernt Bure mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åseda and the Club Universidad de Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eskil Falk missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 45 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gilbert Löfkvist right hand side. Alfred Norström scored 1-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilbert Löfkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Broberg made a kick off. Anton Broberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Villiam Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Universidad de Chile's goalkeeper Villiam Runeberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Rickard Pedersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Broberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Villiam Runeberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Jan Lindholm's late challenge caught a Club Universidad de Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Lindholm helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Jan Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Club Universidad de Chile fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Åseda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
