Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Kista's Holger Berg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Michael Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Vibjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 13th match minute, Sjövik IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Smitt to maneuver through the defense. Simon Wennerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Greger Svartengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Börje Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjövik IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Börje Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Michael Östlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Berg in the 19th minute of play forced Sjövik IFK's goalkeeper Greger Svartengren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kista's Karl-Michael Östlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Kista from getting a goal against them. In the 24thth minute of the game Sverker Vibjörnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kista's Karl-Michael Östlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hannes Högberg hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Sverker Vibjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Kista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Wennerström to maneuver through the defense. Karl-Michael Östlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sverker Vibjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match, Börje Dahlberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karl-Michael Östlund was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Holger Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Svartengren having to interfere. Greger Svartengren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Berg in the 49th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Holger Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greger Svartengren having to interfere. Greger Svartengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Berg in the 67th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Gösta Tingberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kista and the Sjövik IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Kista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Tingberg to maneuver through the defense. Sverker Vibjörnsson's late challenge caught a Kista's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sverker Vibjörnsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kista booed when Sjövik IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Vibjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 72 minutes, Karl-Oskar Classon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sjövik IFK and the Kista players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simon Wennerström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sixten Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kista's zone, Börje Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Michael Östlund came out of the goal and Börje Dahlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Melker Finsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Greger Svartengren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Holger Berg in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Kista defense, August Smitt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Michael Östlund. The Kista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Michael Östlund should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sjövik IFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kista had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
