A collision led to REAL Örgryte getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Yngve Sandström hit a great ball. Jens-Ola Pihlblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, REAL Örgryte's Jens-Ove Mattsson got control of the ball when Jens-Ola Pihlblad tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jens-Ola Pihlblad took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jens-Ove Mattsson to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Ramsele RK booed when REAL Örgryte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agne Dalberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Ola Pihlblad got free with Jens-Ove Mattsson in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens-Ove Mattsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Berg, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Anders Sävström kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Anders Sävström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leif Alebäck. Ramsele RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Hans Berg made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Douglas Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Alebäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leif Alebäck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anders Sävström in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, REAL Örgryte's Douglas Strömberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leif Alebäck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Ramsele RK fans cheered their team off the field, for while REAL Örgryte had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
