Wictor Lövskog made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Pål Enegren sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Pål Enegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Ulf Malmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Lövskog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Mellin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Egil Hydén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Fårbo's Stig Mellin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Hydén narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Finsta IF's zone, Stig Mellin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Hydén came out of the goal and Stig Mellin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig Mellin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Egil Hydén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Stig Mellin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fårbo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 37 minutes, Pål Enegren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finsta IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Enegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Örjan Kock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Hydén having to interfere. Stig Mellin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egil Hydén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Örjan Kock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stig Mellin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Stig Mellin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Egil Hydén, passed just outside the right post. Erik Öfverman kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Stig Mellin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Ulf Malmberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egil Hydén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Mellin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 64th match minute, Finsta IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Öfverman to maneuver through the defense. Örjan Kock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig Mellin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Egil Hydén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Mellin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Ulf Malmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wictor Lövskog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fårbo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
