After 26 played minutes Finsta IF got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Enegren. Alf Hamnberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alf Hamnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Insjön's Gunnar Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Malmberg in the 32nd minute of play. After 32 played minutes Insjön got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Kvick. Pål Enegren took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Ahlquist. Gunnar Ahlquist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 39th minute Ernst Öberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Hydén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Finsta IF's zone, Alf Hamnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Hydén came out of the goal and Alf Hamnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernst Öberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Insjön players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Finsta IF were winning 0-1.

The audience was convinced that Ernst Öberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egil Hydén was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When Patrik Alstedt came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Insjön fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Alstedt couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pål Enegren during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Finsta IF getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Pål Enegren hit a great ball. Ernst Öberg struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Egil Hydén didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Insjön. Ernst Öberg scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egil Hydén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Finsta IF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Erik Öfverman hit a great ball. Ernst Öberg took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egil Hydén. Egil Hydén dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Egil Hydén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernst Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Pål Enegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjell Larsson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Larsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kjell Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Insjön walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
