He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hammerdal BK reached it. If Bernt Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Öman in the 45th minute of play forced Söderhamn's goalkeeper Michael Lövgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Andreas Öman made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Claes Gustavsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Lövgren skillfully saved the ball. Nils-Erik Nordkvist struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Karl-Johan Kjellman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Söderhamn. 68 minutes into the match, Hammerdal BK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Kjellman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Erik Nordkvist. After a defensive mix-up in Söderhamn's zone, Robert Alén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Lövgren came out of the goal and Robert Alén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-1 became the score in the 81st minute when Bernt Hedlund elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Hammerdal BK booed when Söderhamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Thorsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Alén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Robert Alén left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hammerdal BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
