The referee ignored Brottby's protests and gave David Löfgren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brottby getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. David Löfgren hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match Bengt Smed sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Aronsson skillfully saved the ball. Josef Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Granström having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Jens Bruhn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forserum RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brottby the free kick. A collision led to Forserum RK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jens Bruhn hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Jens Bruhn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 32 in the game by Krister Sjöö from a close distance when the talented Bo Granström managed to make a qualified save. Forserum RK's players were relieved. Bo Granström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Viklund in the 35th minute of play. Bo Granström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Viklund in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Forserum RK's goalkeeper Bo Granström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krister Sjöö. Joacim Hedlund's late challenge caught a Brottby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joacim Hedlund helped the player get up and apologised. Joacim Hedlund kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Josef Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Granström having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josef Viklund made a kick off. Josef Viklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Forserum RK's goalie and right to David Löfgren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Forserum RK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Josef Viklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bo Granström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Viklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Forserum RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Löfdahl to maneuver through the defense. Gösta Lindström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. In the 94thth minute of the game Josef Viklund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forserum RK's Bo Granström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Viklund in the 97th minute of play forced Forserum RK's goalkeeper Bo Granström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
