An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Utfal in the 3rd minute of play forced Frinnaryd's goalkeeper Ludwig Falk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 minutes of play, Gästrike-hammarby BK's Patrick Frisk made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ludwig Falk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Åke Ingvall was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 17 minutes, Åke Ingvall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frinnaryd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Ingvall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Frinnaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Frisk came free, but Ludwig Falk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sten Utfal came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Gästrike-hammarby BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Utfal couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Frisk in the 27th minute of play forced Frinnaryd's goalkeeper Ludwig Falk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Aspengren might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Widberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian Aspengren ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Åke Ingvall made the kick off in the second half. Brian Aspengren struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Michael Widberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frinnaryd. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Klint in the 66th minute of play forced Gästrike-hammarby BK's goalkeeper Michael Widberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Frinnaryd booed when Gästrike-hammarby BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Dahlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Frinnaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Frisk came free, but Ludwig Falk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Frisk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Åke Ingvall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
