Bjuråker FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Carlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gästrike-hammarby BK's zone, Lars-Erik Carlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Widberg came out of the goal and Lars-Erik Carlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Lars-Erik Carlsson took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Michael Widberg to make any attempt to save it. If Lars-Erik Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bjuråker FK fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Bjuråker FK's Erik Hellkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 33rd minute, Birger Siöman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Widberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Hellkvist in the 38th minute of play. Lars-Erik Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Michael Widberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Widberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Hellkvist went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Hellkvist was the one to do the kick off. If Lars-Erik Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Hellkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Widberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. When Lars-Erik Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Bjuråker FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Erik Carlsson couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, Bjuråker FK's Erik Hellkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Widberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lars-Erik Carlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Widberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars-Erik Carlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Sune Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Bjuråker FK's goalkeeper Georg Sundberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Utfal.
