If Ingvar Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Hård showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Bergqvist in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute André Dalgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Hammarbäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gottfrid Pihlblad took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Hård. Viktor Hård dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Avesta getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jan-Ove Martinsson hit a great ball. Olov Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Dalgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ingvar Nordström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Olov Granberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Olov Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Dalgren in the 34th minute of play. Ingvar Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute André Dalgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Granberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leif Bergqvist was the one to do the kick off. Avesta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gösta Hammarbäck came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Viktor Hård could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Gösta Hammarbäck took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Viktor Hård to make any attempt to save it. Leif Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Ingvar Nordström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olov Granberg. Avesta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Nordström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Nordström in the 77th minute of play forced Avesta's goalkeeper Olov Granberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avesta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
