The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Arvid Ahlén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manfred Sigman. Ramsele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arvid Ahlén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th minute, Herbert Wiberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Ramsele's Leif Olofsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Börge Asplund. Börge Asplund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ramsele's Kevin Dalberg got a free kick in the 31st minute. 41 minutes into the match, Tvärred IK's goalkeeper Börge Asplund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henric Hamnberg. 46 minutes into the match, Ramsele's Henric Hamnberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Börge Asplund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Olofsson to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Olofsson in the 51st minute of play forced Tvärred IK's goalkeeper Börge Asplund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Aspengren's late challenge caught a Ramsele's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Aspengren helped the player get up and apologised. Adrian Aspengren kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Tvärred IK booed when Ramsele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Dalberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Henric Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börge Asplund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ramsele's Manfred Sigman got control of the ball when Bo-Erik Melin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Leif Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Ramsele fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Olofsson couldn't finish the play. When Adrian Aspengren was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Tvärred IK's Adrian Aspengren got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ramsele's Manfred Sigman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Ramsele from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, Ramsele's goalkeeper Manfred Sigman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo-Erik Melin. 79 minutes into the game, Leif Olofsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Börge Asplund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tvärred IK's Börge Asplund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Olofsson in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leif Olofsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Börge Asplund was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. The supporters of Ramsele booed when Tvärred IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Brander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfred Sigman made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bo-Erik Melin sent off a good shot on target. Bo-Erik Melin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tvärred IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
