An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Ek in the 5th minute of play forced Tvärred IK's goalkeeper Börge Asplund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nyköping's Johan Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Ahlén in the 8th minute of play. Börge Asplund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Wester in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Tvärred IK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pär Broberg hit a great ball. Georg Wester hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Börge Asplund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georg Wester, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Bo-Erik Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Henriksson having to interfere. Bo-Erik Melin in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johan Henriksson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bo-Erik Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Henriksson having to interfere. Nyköping's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bo-Erik Melin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tobias Olsson, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Tvärred IK's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy Ek came free, but Börge Asplund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timmy Ek to strike the kick off in the second half. Nyköping's Johan Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvid Ahlén in the 53rd minute of play. Bo-Erik Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Henriksson having to interfere. Arvid Ahlén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Nyköping's goal looked a bit too open when Bo-Erik Melin came free, but Johan Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timmy Ek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Börge Asplund came out and tried to block the shot, but Timmy Ek slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 89th minute. Tvärred IK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
